Synopsis

The Collegiate Climate Collaboration was founded to show students the effects of climate change and, in turn, incite discussion and action. I was called upon to develop their website. Aided by an experienced web designer, my main services included HTML, CSS, and JavaScript along with WordPress integration to make it easy to contribute.

Details

Due to the discussion-centered nature of this website, controlling the quality of comments is of utmost importance. This is done through a ratings system, in which remarks with a significant number of negative votes are automatically hidden from the conversation thread. For more communication opportunities, I added MailChimp integration to allow readers to directly subscribe to a climate change mailing list from the front page.
