After going through multiple WordPress installations, one of my greatest troubles was remembering all the steps needed to fully customize and secure my websites. Even though WordPress does most of the work for you, there are still some important tasks left. “20 Steps to a Flexible and Secure WordPress Installation,” an article I originally wrote for Nettuts+ that later got moved to Wptuts+, solved this problem for me and over 70000 RSS subscribers, translating into millions of page views.
